Speaker Series: Every Mother Counts
Webinar

Every year, over 300,000 women die as a result of complications of pregnancy and childbirth. That’s one woman every two minutes, and almost all of these deaths can be prevented. The United States is the only industrialized nation where the maternal mortality rate is rising. Every Mother Counts is working to change this by taking an impact-focused, three-pronged approach. They raise awareness to build a community of passionate and informed allies, engage communities to take action for change and invest in people and programs working to improve access to quality, respectful, and equitable maternity care. Every Mother Counts envisions a world where all women have the opportunity to enter motherhood not only to survive but to thrive.

Please join Founder, Christy Turlington Burns, and Director of Policy and Advocacy, Nan Strauss, to learn more about Every Mother Counts’ initiatives to make pregnancy and childbirth safe for every mother, everywhere.

WMM Philanthropic Leadership Curriculum | Pillar 1 Cohort
Briarcliff Manor, NY

Designed across three Pillars (including Philanthropic Strategic, Voice & Influence, and Financial Engagement), the WMM Leadership Curriculum is for members who seek to learn how to be supportive leaders in service of the women and girls’ movement, collaborating in a way that mobilizes unprecedented resources to partner organizations for the shared purpose of achieving gender equality.

Bringing deep rigor to the learning experience, all three pillars share a critical focus on power, privilege, and exploring participants’ personal approach to leadership. Participants will emerge with a deeper understanding of their strengths, opportunities for growth, personal power, and individual needs in their philanthropic journeys.
