Tracy Gary transforms communities as a philanthropic and legacy advisor, nonprofit entrepreneur, donor activist and coach. In a lifetime of catalyzing people and resources, she has collaboratively started 23 nonprofits including Resourceful Women, the Women’s Foundation of CA, Changemakers, The Women’s Funding Network, The International Donor Network, (now called EDGE: Engaged Donors for Social Equity) and Inspired Legacies. She recently co-founded Unleashing Generosity, a learning community that offers resources, coaching and inspiration for giving circles, donor networks, financial and philanthropic advisors, families and individuals. Through her for-profit consultancy, Wholehearted Philanthropy, she works as a coach and advisor to individual donors, families, family foundations and businesses. Tracy is also a philanthropic advisor within Triskeles Foundation. Throughout her 40-year history in the field, Tracy has served on over 35 boards of directors. She has helped raise over $750 million and leveraged billions for social change justice, community building and environmental groups. Tracy is the author (with Nancy Adess) of Inspired Philanthropy: Creating a Giving Plan (Jossey-Bass, 3rd edition, 2007). She is available for media interviews, national and international presentations, workshops, and consultancies.
