COMMUNITY CRITERIA
We seek donors who are actively engaged in philanthropy and are committed to supporting organizations/initiatives that work toward the advancement of women and girls.
We seek donors who Give Big and Act Bold. Our donors, by using their voice, money and influence, amplify the need to advance the status of women and girls.
Women Moving Millions donors embrace the core characteristics of the Women Moving Millions’ Vision, Values and Voices Statements to maximize their collective impact.
FINANCIAL CRITERIA
- A GIFT WITH A TOTAL VALUE OF ONE MILLION OR MORE in cash, liquid securities, or the cash equivalent to organizations/initiatives that work toward the advancement of women and girls. Appropriate national currency equivalents will be determined on a case by case basis.
- A DISTRIBUTION PLAN is encouraged that is Big and Bold over the shortest period possible for you, but the gift must be fully distributed to specific organization(s)/initiative(s) within a maximum of a ten-year window. The start date for your distribution plan is January 1st of the year you are joining.
- DESIGNATION to a named organization(s)/initiative(s) for your full gift is strongly encouraged. When you name it, your organizational partners can claim it. Be the first to give a million dollar gift to your organization of choice
- DOCUMENTATION in the form of a completed pledge agreement to demonstrate that your gift has been made is required.
- A PLANNED GIFT to a Women’s Funding Network member fund(s) counts, provided you are 65 years of age or older and the gift is irrevocable.
- PRIVATE FOUNDATION (OR DONOR ADVISED FUND) GIVING QUALIFIES if the ultimate recipients of your gift – organization(s)/initiative(s) that work toward the advancement of women and girls – are designated according to the criteria outlined above.
